Chef Will Bly

William J. Bly,  born in Los Angeles, Ca. raised in a family of cooks and culinary chefs, Chef Bly grew up honing his skills by watching his mother and grandmother as they both prepared family meals with meticulousness and care.

After relocating to Memphis Tn., Chef Bly was the youngest employee at Schering Plough Corporation. Working in the kitchen preparing breakfast, lunch & dinner for the entire staff, and even learned about purchasing food, budgeting and creating cohesive meals. 

After moving back to California Chef Bly, decided to take cake decorating class at Wilton’s where this was the real start to his culinary career, he soon starting baking and making candy as a side job as a hobby. The business of baking and candy making was so successful, he decides to make a business out of it called Specialty Cakes & Pies. Year after year business grew to where the holiday season, all of his time was spent baking. Even though Chef Bly enjoyed baking, he always knew that his passion was cooking. Chef Bly then started catering small birthday parties & private dinners for close friends and family not knowing that in 2014 would be the year that his life would change for the better. Changing his company name to Specialty Events. & Catering has really made a name for itself and has become a household name mostly brought up in conversations.

Chef Bly continued his studies in 2016 at Argosy the Art Institute of America in North Hollywood Ca. with his focus on American cuisine.

Chef Bly has catered many events for some prestigious people such as; Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Mr. Danny Glover, Mark Ridley Thomas, Warner Bros., Vanessa Bell Calloway, Bishop Charles E. Blake & Mrs. Lisa Price just to name a few.

Chef Bly found his passion and purpose in culinary arts, and found a love to create dishes that soothe the palate. And to share his culinary gift, Chef Bly host an Annual Jazz Brunch, with a host local Jazz musician, inviting past and presents clients, to experience his delectable cuisines.
